Meet Cassidy Anderson, M.S. CCC-SLP

Your Cheerleader for Raising Happy Eaters & Little Speakers

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Cassidy, a Chicago-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) and feeding therapist, but most importantly, I’m a mom of two toddlers! I’m here to be your go-to resource to make speech, feeding, and parenting simpler and stress-free.

After spending years working in children’s hospitals, public schools, and private practice, I realized my passion for helping kids communicate was just as strong as my love for supporting parents. So, I’m here to take what I’ve learned as both an SLP and a mom to bring you down-to-earth advice on speech, feeding, and toddler parenting.

My Path to Helping Parents Just Like You

My journey into speech-language pathology began with a personal connection—a family friend’s child with Down Syndrome. They couldn’t say enough good things about their speech therapist and the amazing progress their son made, which inspired me to explore the field. That spark led me to study at the University of Iowa, where I fell in love with with the power of communication and its role in child development. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as an SLP and feeding therapist in a variety of settings—I’ve been lucky to work with kids of all ages and stages, but what I’m most passionate about is empowering parents to feel confident as they support their child’s speech and feeding development at home.

Motherhood & Milestones

When I became a mom a few years ago, I related to parents in a new way. Even with my background, I had a new understanding for the stress parents face with starting solids, the excitement of hearing baby’s first words, and of course the apprehension when navigating toddler behavior.

In Summer of 2023, while I started solids with my daughter, I began sharing evidence-based approaches and advice on TikTok. Through my content, I share practical tools and resources to help my growing community of over 150k parents support their baby’s speech and feeding development—all while juggling the joys and demands of everyday family life.

I aim to help parents keep things (mostly!) manageable amid the day-to-day hustle and unpredictability of raising little talkers and eaters!

Parenting is full of different experiences, and not every tip will work for every family—that’s okay!

There’s a lot of advice out there on starting solids and language development—but I noticed much of it can feel overwhelming or disconnected from the realities of busy parenting. When I started solids with my daughter, Avery, I needed a realistic approach that worked with a toddler running around, too. That’s why I focus on making everything simple, attainable, and judgment-free. I want you to feel supported and confident as you introduce new foods and encourage your baby’s communication, one step at a time.

Take what you need, and leave the rest!

My goal is to be a resource for evidence-based strategies that you can take, adapt, and apply as they fit into your life. I’m all about creating positive, pressure-free experiences with your kids—whether you’re introducing a new food or working on those first words, I’m here to help you simplify the process and cheer you on along the way!
